Recently Cast N Catch Charters has been on an outstanding Pre-spawn Smallmouth Bass bite here in Door County, Wisconsin! The Fish are definitely not all up Shallow yet but a great age class of 3.5 to 4.5 lbs fish are up and feeding at all times of the day! We’ve been mainly using techniques like Neds, Tubes, and Hair Jigs to catch these fish due to cold water temps. Fishing with Lucky Craft Pointers has produced some absolute giants! Water temps currently are main 46 deg. This means that the best fishing is yet to come! Historically my favorite Water temps for Pre-spawn action is 48 to 52 degs.
