Fishing on Washington Island this summer has been excellent. It should only get better during August and into September. We’ve had some north and northeast winds that have hindered some days in July. Washington Island continues to amaze me, on days when you should be struggling to catch a few fish we still produce 20 to 30 smallmouth bass!! We’ve been catching our fish on multiple different lures throughout July, wacky worms, spinnerbaits, Lucky Craft Jerkbaits, Drop shots, swim baits, Z Man TRD’s, and shallow running Lucky Craft crank baits.
